Aedris Calliasta
Elf Cleric
“Sometimes belief is not enough. We must go further. I refuse to harbor hate in any form.”
Appearance: Approaching from a hidden door in the corner, this elven woman looks short for her kind and it’s apparent that her head has been freshly shaved. She bows before you, tattooed palms outstretched in greeting. The tattoos match the symbol dangling from the thin chain around her neck, which she stops from swaying with a light touch of her hand. Her voice is soft as she says, “Welcome.”

Personality: Aedris has dedicated herself to serving Iandune, the deity of life, and does so with single-minded devotion and passion. Her gentle ways can make it easy to forget that she is a battle-hardened healer and stubborn beyond measure when it comes to her conviction about saving lives.

Motivation: There is so much unhappiness, hurt, and helplessness in the world not to do something about it. I will work to heal the wounds of the body and those of the heart, without turning any away.

Roleplaying Tips: Aedris will speak clearly but softly, often touching the symbol of Iandune she wears around her neck. She is difficult to fluster and will stand passionately and firmly behind her beliefs.

Background: Aedris was born into one of the lower noble houses but left her family to join the faith of Iandune when war broke out among the elves. She became a dedicated healer, healing soldiers on both sides of the conflict, a decision that drew considerable anger. Captured and sentenced to death, she was rescued by The Mirandae and lives in hiding, advising Silmarae Tillari as the organization’s conscience.

Traits: Agile, Attractive, Divine, Good, Intelligent, Persuasive, and Religious

Dark Secret: Aedris has worked closely with Silmarea Tillari for decades, observing how the magic continues to change her personality. She fears that Silmarea will become something other than mortal.

Due to its military legacy, House Calliasta took Aedris’ actions as a personal betrayal and were one of the most vehement in the outcry against her. This outrage has cooled over the years, owing no small part to the ascension of Everil Calliasta, Aedris’ younger sister, as the head of the noble house. Everil has made private inquiries into finding Aedris, with the hopes of reuniting with her sister and healing the breach.
-
As the Mirror’s Heart, Aedris Calliasta acts as the gatekeeper for all audiences with Silmarea Tillari. It is her duty to gauge the trustworthiness of potential allies and determine if the Mirror’s good reports are true. If you prove a disappointment, you may lose the chance to share The Mirandae’s well-kept secrets.
